Wood Shop Associate (Temporary) Master Halco, North America's leading manufacturer and distributor of fencing and perimeter security products. Position Summary The Woodshop Associate is responsible for making wood panels according to requested requirements. The role involves simple operations on cut lumber including framing, making wood panels, dog‑earing, trimming using table saws, nail gun, and additional woodworking machinery. Benefits Competitive hourly wage of $19 per hour Monday through Friday schedule, day shift Responsibilities Assemble wood panels by placing pre‑cut lumber in frames and fixing with nail gun Trim and dog‑ear (picket point) lumber using table saws and trimming machines Perform housekeeping on the wood manufacturing area and simple maintenance on equipment Control waste and rework of wood materials Adhere to all safety procedures Keep own and adjacent work areas clean Assist with special projects as assigned Qualifications Ability to read and interpret blueprints Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment Provide excellent customer service Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects Good hand‑eye coordination Demonstrated knowledge of mathematics and basic carpentry Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred Experience with wood processing machinery Experience using carpentry tools including tape measure, nail gun, table saw, cutting equipment Work Environment Exposed and subject to outside environmental conditions such as cold, wind, heat, and humidity. Noise level moderate to loud. General warehouse and/or outdoor environment. Physical Demands Lift up to 50 lbs; team lifting recommended for heavier loads Ability to sit, climb, stand, lift and/or move Position Type & Expected Hours Full‑time position. Days of work Monday through Friday. May require long hours at times.
