While we offer services for survivors we also organize and educate about partner abuse to create the change we believe is possible for our communities. Location:This is primarily an in‑person position that works between two offices, out in the community, and does training in the Greater Boston Area of Massachusetts and parts of New England. There is some flexibility to work remotely during non‑peak times.Hours:40 hours/week; varied schedule with some evenings and weekends requiredSupervised by:Capacity Building Manager Responsibilities Co‑coordinate our TA program’s Learning Community with the Education Associate Evaluate readiness assessments to determine an organization’s participation the learning community Co‑facilitate quarterly Learning Community sessions & 2 day‑long trainings for Learning Community members Manage the Learning Community listserv Provide monthly TA support Co‑coordinate our Partner Abuse Community Education program with Community Awareness Associate to support volunteers and new staff in facilitating our curriculum. Provide 10+ virtual and in‑person trainings in English and Spanish for community groups and providers outside the Learning Community to raise awareness about the issue of LGBTQ+ partner abuse and the services we offer to survivors. Support with the revision, editing, and building of curriculums for partner abuse in various communities, including (but not limited to) youth, elders, folks who practice kink, polyamorous people, etc., to improve and expand our organizational, community, and provider trainings. Participate in program development and other organizational projects. Contribute to organizational committees as appropriate. Provide support to survivors of LGBTQ+ partner abuse as needed, including hotline. Maintain files of program activities, provide program information, and reports as necessary. Other duties as assigned/necessary. Qualifications, Strengths, and Skills We hire for life experience – formal education is not required. People of color, transgender people, survivors of partner abuse especially encouraged to apply. Required Qualification(s): Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. The remaining qualifications are for an ideal candidate, but we will consider all types of experience and will absolutely consider candidates who don’t meet all qualifications. An ideal candidate will: Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in at least 2 of the following areas: LGBTQ+ partner abuse; training/public speaking; organizing/community outreach; communications Be a “people person” – enjoy talking with people (in person and on the phone), have experience making and maintaining connections in community, and be able to represent the organization in professional and social settings Have excellent listening, organizational, and communication skills. Be able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities, including the stress of juggling daily tasks, ongoing projects, and crisis support of survivors as it comes up Have a passion for social change/social justice Be energetic and able to work independently and as part of a team Be self‑motivated Compensation This is a bilingual required position with a salary of $54,080. Base salary at $52,000. (Salaries are determined by overall organizational funding and therefore non‑negotiable).
