ASMPT is a leading global supplier of hardware and software solutions for the manufacture of semiconductors and electronics.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead our QA team in ensuring high standards of software quality for our products. As the Software QA Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the QA process, developing, and implementing quality assurance strategies, and driving continuous improvement to deliver robust, reliable, and high-performance software products.


Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture across the entire software team.
  • Develop and execute QA strategies, ensuring alignment with project goals and company objectives.
  • Oversee the estimation of QA effort and timelines, ensuring accurate assessments of required resources and timeframes.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to deadlines, adjust QA plans as necessary to accommodate changes, and proactively address potential delays or issues that may impact the project schedule.

Quality Assurance Strategy

  • Ensure the compliance with the software development process.
  • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA processes and methodologies tailored to our products.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards, testing protocols, and best practices to ensure product excellence.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for software validation and verification.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, product managers, and hardware engineers to ensure alignment and address quality-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the overall quality assurance leadership of the company.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding quality metrics, test results, and risk assessments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all QA-related inquiries and issues.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze and report on software quality metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive the adoption of new testing technologies, tools, and techniques to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
  • Enable and manage processes for defect tracking, resolution, and regression testing.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to semiconductor products.
  • Maintain the test cases and test results in the Azure platform.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or lead role. Preferably with a manufacturing company.
  • Proven experience in the semiconductor industry or related high-tech field is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Smart Bear, XUnit, NUnit).
  • Proficiency in programming languages and scripting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
