In this role, you will perform MIG, TIG, brazing, and arc welding in accordance with NAVSEA 0900-LP-060-4010 series standards.The following job functions are basic requirements (but other duties may be assigned as well):Assists in structural repair of various equipment, platforms, and components.Performs welding, bending and machining of steel, aluminum or plastics.Work includes cross-utilization into other positions that fall within our scope of work.Read blueprints, sketches, drawings and work orders and utilize them to design and produce quality fabrications and prototypes.Perform all work safely in accordance with industry standards and best practices.Work Conditions:May be required to work first shift (0700-1530) or second shift (0830-1700).Work is accomplished in an industrial environment where temperatures will vary depending on location.Conditions typically include 45% standing, 25% walking, 20% sitting, 5% reaching, and 5% lifting.Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.Shift hours may vary due to mission requirements and may be assigned on short notice.Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
