Responsibilities:

* Follows recipes and production sheets, as written , and informs Manager/Supervisor of any adjustments.

* Prepares pan garnishes for "front of the house" operations.

* Sets up steam tables on time and organizes them according to diagrams to avoid delays on tray line.

* Ensures that all hot food temperatures are at least 165 degrees for entrees, starches and vegetables. Monitors temperatures throughout the meal service.

* Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality.

* Informs supervisor when specific food/supplies are low and need to be reordered

* Maintains work area in a clean, safe and professional manner.

* Monitors temperatures of kitchen refrigerators.

* Ensures food & refrigerator temperatures are taken and recorded per policies and procedures.

Requirements:

* One to two years experience as a Cook's helper, grill Cook or Line Cook, preferably in a Health Care operation

Education:

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Food Handler's Certificate preferred but not required.
