This is a unique opportunity for a digital-first marketing leader with a passion for storytelling, community building, and audience development. Whether you come from podcasting, entertainment, media, or digital content, this role is ideal for a strategic thinker and builder who’s ready to elevate a breakout brand in a fast-growing space. The Role The Head of Marketing will lead all marketing functions, with a primary focus on growing listener audiences, building show-level and studio-wide brand awareness, and driving digital engagement across owned and paid channels. You’ll be responsible for audience acquisition and retention strategies, show launches, brand partnerships, and content-driven campaigns. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of building digital audiences in a crowded attention economy—and knows how to turn listeners into loyal fans. This is a high-impact executive role, working closely with founders, showrunners, and platform partners to shape the narrative and future of the studio. Responsibilities Own and evolve the studio’s digital marketing strategy, with a focus on listener growth, show promotion, and platform visibility. Lead show launch campaigns from pre-production through post-release, working closely with creators and producers to maximize exposure. Oversee paid digital advertising (social, display, podcast platforms), SEO, and email marketing efforts to optimize acquisition and retention. Build and manage a small but mighty in-house team and external marketing partners across brand, performance, and content marketing. Develop and maintain marketing partnerships with podcast platforms, media outlets, and cross-promotion networks. Build compelling brand narratives that connect with target audiences across social, podcast platforms, newsletters, and events. Use data and audience insights to continually refine strategies, inform content decisions, and report on performance. Champion audience development initiatives, including fan engagement, community growth, and listener lifecycle marketing. Skills Required Experience 8–10+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, ideally in digital media, entertainment, or content-driven businesses. Deep understanding of digital marketing best practices, podcast or streaming promotion, and multi-platform brand building. Proven ability to lead successful campaigns across social, audio platforms (Spotify, Apple, etc.), newsletters, and paid channels. Experience scaling marketing functions in startup or creative environments. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with a strong creative sensibility. Hands‑on experience with marketing tools and analytics platforms. Comfortable working cross‑functionally with editorial, production, and sales teams. Bonus Skills Prior experience in the podcast, audio, or creator economy space. Passion for culture, media, and storytelling. Familiarity with fan engagement, live events, or community platforms (e.g., Discord, Substack, Patreon). Experience with affiliate or creator partnerships.
