Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Medicine Progressive Care Unit

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Nights 3x12 Hr

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience

License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state

Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Must-Have: ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred Education: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing

Job Description:

- Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs.
- Attends educational programs to meet learning needs and utilizes patient education materials relevant to the population.
- Evaluates care by identifying expected patient outcomes and communicating relevant information to promote continuity of care.
- Demonstrates competence in the care of patients with complex problems and performs bedside point of care testing as required.
- Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient and family needs.
- Develops goals to promote professional growth and achieves them within the identified timeframe.
- Participates in the development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities.
- Recognizes data from complex situations to determine priorities for care and synthesizes assessment data into a meaningful whole.
- Collaborates with patients and families to prepare or update the plan of care.
- Prioritizes tasks for patients with complex problems and participates in promoting cost-effective care.
- Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment for all.
