About The Role As a Principal Business Advisor, you will act as both a “Business Analyst” and “Project Manager” for the functional side of a secure system architecture implementation, working in tandem with the Business Technology (BT) team, an external consultant, and end users to gain a deep understanding of how our processes are supported. This role requires a deep understanding of business goals and user needs; defining reporting functionality to meet those needs; leading the project scope and schedule; presenting with stakeholders; and partnering closely with Enablement functions to support communication, training, and adoption. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan, organize and lead all phases of a systems implementation project, working cross‑functionally and with other program managers. Conduct in‑depth discovery with users, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to translate business goals and user needs into actionable requirements. Partner with Business Technology to brainstorm and provide feedback on design to achieve easy‑to‑understand visualizations. Communicate with stakeholders proactively throughout the project to gather inputs, provide updates, and coordinate with other teams. Partner closely with Enablement teams to provide inputs to support communication, training, and adoption of new/updated systems. Anticipate areas of risk and develop mitigation strategies to find effective resolutions. Serve as a trusted advisor/subject matter expert when functional questions arise regarding our Workday Government systems, reporting and metrics. Develop Workday Government reporting based on end‑user needs and business analysis in support of annual planning, Go‑To‑Market strategy changes, and delivering new business insights to leadership. Required Qualifications 10+ years of professional experience. 5+ years of analytics experience, either full‑time or as a significant part of your role. 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Services, Customer Experience or Operations. Travel may be required for training, conferences, or other project meetings. U.S. citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications Strong knowledge of Workday systems and planning cycles. Strong project management, problem‑solving and business analysis skills. Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred. Experience with Salesforce.com preferred. Understanding of user experience design is a strong bonus. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, and listening skills. Ability to operate under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization. Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary by location. This role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role‑specific commission/bonus, as well as annual share grants. Primary Location: USA, CA, Home Office Base Pay Range: $156,500 USD – $235,000 USD Additional US Locations: $141,600 USD – $251,800 USD Our Approach to Flexible Work We combine in‑person time and remote work.
