You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc., to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We are responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. The Cloud and Open Ecosystem's (COE) team mission is to provide a modern, flexible, and secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for a broad range of Google's developers. We bridge the gap between the unique needs of different teams and the limitations of existing systems, adopting industry-standard tools and practices while maintaining security and compliance requirements. This empowers developers to innovate faster, collaborate more effectively, and deploy to GCP with ease. As the Product Manager for COE, your role will focus on enabling the development of agentic applications atop a unified platform that abstracts architecture and implementation. The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We champion underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These essential building blocks deliver excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive innovation across the company. Compensation US base salary range: $156,000 - $229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, location, and other factors. Responsibilities Develop and own the product strategy for core cloud capabilities, identifying opportunities and addressing gaps in Google's internal technology stack. Define and prioritize key capabilities that enable broad developer utility based on user needs, business impact, and technical architecture. Translate complex developer and platform needs into clear and well-defined product requirements for secure and performant pathways. Drive adoption of foundational cloud services and modern SDLC practices across different developer populations. Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key stakeholders to align on core platform dependencies. Track KPIs to measure the scale and success of developer enablement via cloud capabilities. Use data to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement in performance, security, and developer efficiency.
