CT Technologist Part Time

OverviewTexas Oncology is looking for a Part Time CT Technologist to join our team. This position will support the Imaging/Radiation Oncology Department at our TXO Bedford, Texas location. Awards are reviewed during the annual compensation process and are subject to continued employment through the award payment date, governed by the LTIP terms.What does the CT Tech do?Under general supervision, the CT Technologist coordinates and administers all CT radiologic exams, ensures technical quality and timely reporting of results, and maintains compliance with regulatory safety standards. The role supports adherence to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.ResponsibilitiesPerforms CT procedures as ordered, achieving a high level of quality.Provides expertise to physicians regarding appropriateness of additional or modified studies. Escorts patients to treatment areas and assists with necessary preparations; completes all paperwork for timely CT services.Develops and processes radiologic films; logs procedures; processes routine paperwork.Ensures patient and staff safety in accordance with prescribed standards.Maintains patient comfort and safety under technologist care.Performs daily quality control checks on imaging equipment and reports malfunctions or adjustments needed.Coordinates preventive maintenance as recommended by vendors; follows safety standards in equipment operation.Orders, logs, and returns outside films; completes required documentation.Coordinates film release to patients and outside agencies; maintains film loan records and confidentiality of patient information.QualificationsThe ideal CT Tech candidate will have the following background and experience:Level 1Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.Minimum three years of CT Technologist experience.Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification required.Current IV and CPR certifications required.CT certification preferred.Level 2Minimum five years of CT Technologist experience (in addition to Level 1 requirements).Level SrMinimum seven years of CT Technologist experience (in addition to Level 1 and 2 requirements).Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
