Introduction Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital in West Los Angeles seeking a Medical Director. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality medicine and building a strong, collaborative practice culture. The hospital provides comprehensive care for cats and dogs, including wellness exams, preventive services, dentistry, surgery, and urgent daytime care. Working Hours / Rota The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm, Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm, and closed on Sundays. The Medical Director role is full-time and requires a consistent presence to oversee both clinical and operational aspects of the hospital. Role Description And Responsibilities As Medical Director, you will lead the veterinary team in delivering exceptional patient care and client service. Your responsibilities will include mentoring veterinarians, supporting the professional development of staff, and ensuring medical protocols are upheld to the highest standard. In addition to clinical duties such as wellness and preventive care, dentistry, internal medicine, surgery, geriatric care, and daytime emergency cases, you will oversee hospital operations and foster a positive, collaborative culture. Additional services include cold laser therapy, surgery, and daytime emergency care. The practice is equipped with in-house diagnostics, including digital radiography, ultrasound, bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, ECG/EKG, and digital dental x-rays. Team The practice currently has 1 DVM supported by a dedicated veterinary team. The Medical Director will play a key role in expanding and mentoring the team while driving the growth and success of the hospital. Candidate Requirements Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States. Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in. Must have the right to work in the United States, or be able to obtain the required visa to do so.
