Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 2nd Shift CNC Set Up Trainee to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 055. This position has a starting hourly wage of $21.95 with a 3.5% shift premium.

*This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The first half ($1,000) is payable after successful completion of the orientation period and the second half ($1,000) is payable after one consecutive year of employment. *

The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 3:30PM-12:00AM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Overtime may also be requested or mandatory on Saturdays as well.

Summary: The CNC Set Up Trainee primary responsibility will be to perform machine operation of various CNC machines as needed, maintaining production runs with minimal assistance, performing inspection of machined parts using general measuring instruments and continue learning full machine set up.

As a CNC Set Up Trainee the individual will have an active role in properly performing the tasks related to machine set up such as: removal and installation of tools, tool setting, tool offsets and program movements.

The CNC Set Up Trainee must be able to read, follow and comprehend work instructions and blueprints. The individual will have the recommended hand tools and measuring instruments. Other duties may be assigned.

Personal hand tools and measuring instruments are required. (See list below)

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Machine Operation:

    • Greases fixtures

Machine Set Up: (primary assigned machine(s))
