They serve as a reminder to each of us on what it takes to succeed.GENERAL SUMMARYThe Machinist is responsible for fabrication and layout on a variety of parts or products involving close tolerances. Must set up and operate all machine shop machines to cut, bend, machine or form parts.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSResponsible for quality of work performed in machine shop areaAccountable for fabrication and layout on a variety of parts or products involving close tolerancesSet up and operate all machine shop machines to cut, bend, machine, or form partsUses a variety of machine shop hand tools and measuring instrumentsAssist Group Lead in all functions of the machine shop including work flow and process improvementPerforms all job assignments as instructed by the Plant Manager and/or Group LeadResponsible for keeping both machinery and plant area in good working order, including cleaning and maintenance of machine shop equipment and all tools involved in daily productionResponsible for good housekeeping practices in the Fabrication areaAbides by all policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company including good common sense safety practicesAdheres to the Company Core Values: Performance Driven, Quality in All We Do, Act with Integrity and Professionalism, Collaborative Continuous Improvement, Be Safe, and Impress the CustomerPerforms all job assignments as instructed by the Group Lead, Assistant Plant Manager and/or Vice President, Operations.
