Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Performance Engineer position This is a 6 month contract-to-potential-hire opportunity and can be remote within the United States, working EST time zone. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

What You'll Be Doing:

• The Performance Engineer works as a member of the Performance Engineer team and is charged to understand the goals/objectives of the team and supports Enterprise Architecture and Shared Services Technology division.

• The Performance Engineer I is responsible for Administrating and running load tests for Enterprise level Tier0 and Tier1 applications and work with AppDev team to support ongoing Releases and help with load testing for major upgrades .

• Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project cycles and Performance management objectives.

• Based on the Application flow, develop load testing scenarios and create scripts.

• Analyze Appication infrastructure during load testing.

• Coordinate tests with App and Middleware teams.

• Strong skill set using Load Runner, JMeter testing tools.

• Ability to perform load, stress and endurance tests.

• Provide expertise using monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, Zabbix and Cloud watch metrics.

• Perform deep dive analysis after the load test and make sure to pinpoint all the issues and coordinate with Application and Middleware teams.

• Provide expertise in Mobile testing would be great addition.

• Complete Service Requests within defined SLAs

• Set expectations with the customers and communicate progress or blockers

• Actively participate in cross team collaborations and triage sessions

• Collaborate with IT teams, project teams, and institutional leadership teams in root problem analysis, solution identification, implementation, and delivery activities

• Collaborate with IT teams and internal and external customers to understand project requirements and recommend sustainable solutions that meet defined business needs

• Communicate clearly to technical and non-technical users

What You'll Need to Have:

• At least 8 years of experience as Performance Engineer

• Expertise in load runner, Jenkins tools

• Experience with AWS

• Experience with load runner Scripting

• Experience in PowerShell

• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models

• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or combination of education and experience

• Familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems

• Mobile testing.

Pay Range : $54-$64/hr
