AAMCI is excited to hire a Maintenance Technician for our 199-unit multi-family property located in Knoxville, TN.

 

Full time Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm. Emergency On-call premium

 

The community is an affordable housing community with Project Based Section 8 rent subsidy, providing housing to income-qualified residents. In this position, AAMCI expects strong customer service, safety management, skill set development and time management with the goal of creating a home and strong communities for each of our residents to thrive.

This position participates in on-call emergency rotation for evening, weekends, and holidays, and pays a premium rate of pay for each call out.

 

AAMCI provides many training opportunities, and many paid opportunities to obtain higher levels of certifications.

The required skill set needed is basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, turn-key and overall general maintenance.

 

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Units turns to achieve rent-ready status within 3 - 5 days of vacancy
  • Complete daily work orders
  • Complete preventive maintenance
  • Painting, plumbing and electrical
  • Drywall repair
  • Maintain and clean property grounds
  • Assist with apartment inspections
  • Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, work orders, inspections, and inventories

 

Qualifications necessary for success:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience with hand tools
  • Painting
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Drywall repair
  • Reliable transportation

 

Benefits include medical insurance, company paid employee dental insurance, vision insurance, long-term disability and life insurance.

 

Benefits also include Paid Holiday, Paid Time Off and a 401(k) plan. In the 401(k) plan, employees are eligible after completing one year of employment and reaching an entrance date of January 1 or July 1. Company match is 5%, and employees are vested 100% from the first contribution.

 

Uniform shirts are provided for each team member.
