Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night Shift (19:00-07:00)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 per week at the request of the candidate

Experience: Minimum 2+ years

License: RN License

Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Must-Have:
- Competency in independently recovering CABG patients directly from OR
- At least 1 year of stepdown experience
- Ability to start and manage External Vent Device
- Experience with running CRT machines

Job Description:

- Deliver nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis and establishing care objectives.
- Provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
- Modify treatment plans based on patients' responses and conditions.
- Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
- Instruct individuals and families on health education, disease prevention, and management topics.
- Ensure the quality of care by adhering to professional standards and healthcare organization policies.
- Document patient care services in patient and department records.
- Protect patient information confidentiality.
- Administer medications, wound care, and monitor for reactions or side effects.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Supervise and delegate duties to unlicensed assistive personnel and other ancillary staff as appropriate.
- Promote a culture of safety and act as a patient advocate.
- Prepare patients for and assist with exams as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
