Recreation/Activity Director Panacea Health Corp Location: Abington Manor, Clarks Summit, PA We are looking for a full‑time Activities Director to lead our recreation program for seniors in a skilled nursing/long‑term care setting. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, creative, and able to motivate residents in a variety of activities and events. Requirements High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred. Professional certification as an activities professional or therapeutic recreation specialist, or equivalent experience: at least two (2) years in a social or recreation program within the last five (5) years, with one (1) of those years full‑time in a patient activities program in a health‑care setting. Prior experience in skilled nursing or long‑term care. Knowledge of regulations governing recreation services in nursing care facilities. Leadership ability and willingness to supervise other personnel. Innovativeness: able to seek new methods and incorporate them into existing programs. Good communication skills, able to tailor information to residents’ conditions. Successful completion of a post‑offer criminal background check and physical/drug screen. Responsibilities Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct all activity programs of the facility. Stay current with federal and state regulations, professional standards, and recommend policy changes to the Administrator. Consult staff and community agencies to address resident needs through activity programming. Hold authority, responsibility, and accountability of the Recreation Department. Review resident assessments, quality indicators, and survey results, making necessary improvements. Delegate administrative authority to other recreation personnel as needed. Standardize methods for activity program delivery and administration. Schedule movies, parties, and provide games and activities for residents. Encourage participation in hobbies, crafts, and educational activities. Develop and maintain an activity schedule. Benefits Daily Pay Option – get paid when you need it. Competitive base salary.
