Summary and Objective The Regional Director and CFO USDH will be the financial operations lead for SCAH’s US Digestive Health ("USDH") partnership. This role will report directly to the Group CFO – Specialty Practice. USDH is a large gastroenterology ("GI") group with multisite practice, ancillary, and ASC operations spanning multiple states, including Pennsylvania and Delaware. Description This role is high visibility across SCA Health, including routine interactions with SCA C‑Suite leadership, corporate development, and all support departments (e.g. legal, compliance, accounting). It will directly support the CEO of USDH and is expected to be a highly visible finance leader for USDH. Essential Functions Building, leading, and coaching a USDH‑focused financial operations team (as needed) Support consistently growing EBITDA through leading profitable top‑line growth initiatives, developing new partnerships, effectively managing expenses, and supporting development processes (M&A) Act as a strategic business partner with Operations leads to identify performance improvement opportunities and help them think financially ahead Represent the Group CFO and USDH CEO at partnership or board meetings, speaking with authority on behalf of them Create, implement, and drive opportunities that increase financial growth and operational performance Manage reporting of physician compensation, financial results, and key drivers monthly through direct communication with key stakeholders, including physician‑owners, regional operations leads, and internal SCA leadership Build positive relationships with the CEO, regional operations leads, finance team, and physician‑owners – functioning as a trusted advisor Assess and evaluate financial performance of the portfolio of practice partnerships against long‑ and short‑term financial goals, budgets, and forecasts Perform operational variance analyses to identify favorable or unfavorable business trends Partner with the accounting team to ensure accuracy of monthly financial statements Coach practice executives and regional operations on financial matters and areas of improvement Participate in key decisions related to strategic initiatives and operational models Prepare and present monthly financial results by practice partnership to internal and external leaders Provide insight and recommendations on physician compensation, and the trajectory of business based on monthly results Oversee cash, investments, lending, leasing needs, and asset management for the partnership(s) Manage special transactions, including equity changes, debt arrangements, and relocations Support due diligence and integration of small practice acquisitions and newly recruited physicians, broadly supporting the development team Perform pro‑forma analyses of growth opportunities within existing practices (e.g. service‑line expansion and new market entry) Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and streamline to drive our value of Continuous Improvement Competencies Ability to digest financial information, render judgment, create context, and recognize patterns Ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities Executive presence to deliver financial results and provide financial advice with confidence Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial results or transactions to physicians Ability to collaborate within other support service departments (revenue cycle, legal, supply chain, development, etc.) and with operations Build relationships and collaborate with physicians and other practice leadership Supervisory Responsibility This role does not have supervisory responsibility. Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time position with an 8‑hour shift Monday through Friday. No weekends are required. It is hybrid‑remote, but a candidate in the Philadelphia area or with easy access (drivable or short flight) to Philadelphia is highly desirable. Travel Travel requirements: 25% (up to 50% at times during the first year). Work Authorization and Security Clearance Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
