Responsible for achieving budgeted sales and retention goals for accounts as assignedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education: High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent work experience.An Associates Degree in Business Administration or Sales and Marketing is preferredYears of Experience: At least 3 years of related experience. A minimum of 2 years' experience in Solid Waste and/or a service-related industry is preferredPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by meeting customer retention goals, resolving customer issues in a timely manner, and solving accounts receivable and service problems. Communicate to and work with the Sales Manager/General Manager to resolve unique customer issuesGenerate revenue through the sale of services to new and existing accounts. Increase existing account revenue. Meet or exceed sales all activity goals for both new sales and retentionDemonstrate basic knowledge of technical equipmentAcquire fundamental knowledge of potential customers, pricing and competitionGain an understanding of and execute the division's pricing and service strategiesIdentify and engage other sister company opportunitiesEffectively use Capital Waste Services' sales tools. Prepare timely and accurate sales activity reportsAcquire a fundamental understanding of appropriate local, state and Federal regulationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Demonstrated organizational, oral, written, and listening skillsProficient computer skillsExcellent selling and account management skillsAbility to communicate professionally with internal and external customersAbility to generate and manage leads, opportunities and contract negotiations to close businessEffective influential, selling, and closing skillsAbility to read, write, and comprehend reports and associated documentsAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructionsAbility to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlinesStrong work ethic, demonstrating integrity, trust, and maintain confidentialityStrong interpersonal skills, including effective presentation and listening skills.Flexibility to accept and adapt to change, as well as the commitment to seek continuous improvementDemonstrate strong business acumen and ability to work effectively across various teams and levelsDemonstrate continuous effort to improve operation, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer serviceExcellent analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skillsMACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE USED:Usual office equipment including computer, phone, fax machine, copier and calculatorMS Office including Word, Excel and OutlookWORK ENVIRONMENT:Usual office environmentMay require travel to area businesses, multiple sites including transfer stations and/or landfillsTYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to organize various office systems through adjusting, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending or folding for the purpose of proper records development and/or managementAbility to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard or mouse or other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstationPossess speaking skills and hearing ability to interact with customers on the telephonePREFERRED:Bachelor's degree in business administration, advertising, marketing or related fieldSolid Waste industry or ancillary experience Requirements: PIc45ccfd185b0-31181-39227722
