Position Equipment Maintenance Supervisor at Headway Technologies Location and Schedule Milpitas, CA – Full Time, D Shift (Friday thru Sunday and every other Thursday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM). Salary: $120,819.00 - $177,675.00 per year (plus bonus target, benefits). Reporting Reports to: Equipment Maintenance Manager. Summary Under the direction of the Equipment Maintenance Manager, the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and performing repair and preventative maintenance of all industrial tools and tool sets in the wafer fab, assisting with tool selection, qualification, and optimization on an assigned shift, analyzing data and preparing reports, and reviewing and modifying Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) to ensure data remains current. Essential Functions / Responsibilities Must be willing to train on D shift (Friday thru Sunday and every other Thursday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM) for a minimum of two months before moving to assigned shift. Supervises, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation of the department; makes employment-related decisions as necessary, including hiring and terminations. Oversees and performs the repair and preventative maintenance of all industrial tools and tool sets in the wafer fab. Must be physically on-site to perform essential functions, be available to employees, peers, and managers as needed. Assists with tool selection, qualification, and optimization to meet quality, performance, and yield specifications. Reviews and monitors equipment/tool performance data (MTTR/MTBF/OEE), prepares and presents reports. Oversees work of vendors or field service personnel regarding repairs or maintenance. Reviews and updates MPIs to keep information current. Collaborates with Environmental Health and Safety department to ensure preventive or routine maintenance follows safety standards. Schedules required training and certification classes to ensure compliance. Responds to equipment-related inquiries from employees and departments. Maintains compliance with Headway’s Quality Policy and manages and mentors direct reports regarding Headway’s Quality Management System (QMS). Supports continual improvements to the QMS as required. Adheres to all safety policies and procedures. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering and/or equivalent relevant experience. Five years of hands‑on experience in equipment maintenance in a high‑volume manufacturing facility. Experience using FabTime, MESA, JMP, and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to perform routine scheduled or unscheduled maintenance in a wafer manufacturing environment. Knowledge of wafer manufacturing principles, processes, and equipment. Knowledge of management principles, practices, and techniques. Ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations. Ability to use MESA, FabTime, SPC, or similar wafer tracking applications to analyze data. Ability to create reports, analyze data, and present findings. Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, and management. Pay may vary based on additional factors. Working Conditions Indoor environment, rotating schedule on D shift. May travel between buildings. Works in a class 100 ESD-sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears cleanroom (bunny) suit, hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, mask, and respirator as needed. Exposed to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, gases, and loud noise. Requires standing, walking, bending, twisting, crawling, and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
