RN Generalist

Obstetrics and Gynecology of Indiana a division of Axia Women's Health is part of the largest Women's Health Care Group in the United States, comprised of over 300 providers, 100 patient care centers, 4 breast health centers, 2 perinatal testing centers, and 2 central laboratories offering a full spectrum of exceptional care in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Fertility, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Laboratory Services. Our corporate headquarters is in Voorhees, New Jersey. We are currently recruiting a Registered Nurse for a surgery scheduler position to join us in Carmel, Indiana.

We are currently recruiting a full time RN for Surgery Scheduling to join us at our OGI in Carmel, IN.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinates surgeries with physician schedules and patients.
• Review labs, complete Rx authorization, return patient phone calls, and send result letters.
• Evaluate and assess patient's health care histories, obtain proper surgical clearance.
• Obtain appropriate input and direction from the provider, as needed, to determine best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care.
• Accurately document symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response in EMR. Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as improve health care outcomes of patients/callers and their access to appropriate health.

Qualified candidates will have experience as a RN or LPN, a current Indiana license as a RN or LPN, CPR certification, and a minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical facility, preferably in an OB/GYN setting. Knowledge of CPT coding, lab specific order sets, and eCW are beneficial.

No nights or weekends required. This position is expected to work around 40 hours per week; 8 hours, 5 days per week, Monday through Friday.
