Founding Bilingual Assistant Principal – YES Prep West Elementary (26-27) Join to apply for the Founding Bilingual Assistant Principal – YES Prep West Elementary (26-27) role at YES Prep Public Schools. Overview Position type: 11-month. Start date: 26-27 school year. Compensation: Starting at $71,500 annually. Reports to: Principal. This role supports a high-quality, college-forward curriculum and empowers students to lead choice-filled lives. The Role Key responsibilities include: Manage progress toward increased student achievement for a cohort of teachers, using assessment data to improve instruction. Coach campus interventionists and other leaders responsible for one-on-one, small group, and whole class instruction for students needing intensive tiered support. Observe and evaluate teachers, conduct classroom observations, coach teachers, and monitor teacher progress. Plan and implement steps, including RTI and case management, to establish a strong academic mindset and achieve results for all students academically and behaviorally. Assist in planning and delivering professional learning opportunities to campus teachers and staff during beginning-of-year in-service days and select professional development days. Lead campus testing responsibilities to ensure accuracy and fidelity. Provide leadership, coaching, professional learning, and serve as a resource to teachers, interventionists, teacher aides on positive school culture, student discipline, team management, social/emotional health, compliance, parent/community relations, and student achievement. Oversee intervention support systems and programs on campus focused on reducing at-risk barriers to achieve and persistence. Develop, implement, manage, and execute effective school behavior systems ensuring incorporation of parent communication. Work with stakeholders to develop and implement school-wide programs that increase student persistence and improve campus health. Establish a positive school culture among students, staff and parents promoting the YES Prep mission, core purpose, core values. Lead family engagement programming and recognize families as partners in education. Additional duties as assigned. The Person We seek staff with passion for the mission, drive for results, care for students, resilience, and humility. MUST HAVE BELIEFS Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year educational institution. At least two years of exemplary instructional leadership and/or Grade‑Level Chair experience. At least three years of exemplary teaching. Experience in administration and or supervision. Certification in teaching/instruction. Bilingual Spanish. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development. Ability to work outside of normal hours and on weekends. Belief in and commitment to the mission and core value of YES Prep Public Schools. Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback. Demonstrated ability to work on a team. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and initiatives at once. Ability to maintain emotional control under stress. Nice to have Master’s Degree from an accredited educational institution. Experience in elementary schools. Benefits Compensation – Exempt, salaried position; salary commensurate with experience. Health and Supplemental Insurance – $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 toward a Health Savings Account and various supplemental benefits.
