Education and Experience:
  • General knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques
  • General knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practices
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow provided recipes
  • One year's experience in a food service operation, helpful
  • Required to take and pass "Serve Safe"


Job Description

1. Responsible for restocking of desserts as well as Arbor Cafe and Holly Terrace salad bars.
2. Cold cook is responsible for daily set up of sandwich unit for ala carte items.
3. Does advance preparation as indicated.
4. Serves food items at meal times.
5. Completes production records and stores food items properly at the end of the meal.
6. Cleans work area and equipment used in food preparation.
7. Follows all safety and sanitation rules and practices.
8. Ensures that all cold food preparation and assembling is done in accordance with established procedures and in compliance with State and County procedures and regulations.
9. Maintains all records in a timely and accurate manner.
10. Performs additional duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.
11. Responsible to work the line at the buffet as assigned by supervisor.
12. Accountable for promoting internal customer service.
