Summary

Works under the supervision of the Project Manager and/or Supervisor. Maintains 95% standards of cleanliness within assigned tasks, which includes: soiled linens, hard floors, and carpeted floors, removal/replacement of full Bio-Hazard container, complete low and high dusting programs. Must be able to utilize cleaning products, chemicals, vacuums, mops, wringers, dust tools, and floor machines.

*Please Note: This position is contingent upon a contract award. We will not be actively responding to applicants until there is a need to move forward with this position.

The pay range for this position is $17.58-$20.00/hour + $4.57/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)

  • Responsible for trash removal and cleaning of containers.
  • Removal of soiled linen.
  • Assures that all patient care and exam areas are cleaned as per daily schedule.
  • Assures that all office and common areas are cleaned as per daily schedule.
  • Responsible for the removal of bio-hazardous waste per shift.
  • Must respond to overhead paging system, and radio.
  • Complete floor care as scheduled.
  • Must perform low and high dusting of assigned areas, which includes but not limited to vents, lights, telephones, desks, ledges, windows and furniture.
  • Sweep exterior entry ways and walkways, clean exterior signs and plaques.
  • Complete weekly checklist and submit to supervisor.
  • Report broken items or equipment for repairs.
  • Distributes linen if assigned.
  • Must use discretion when handling confidential materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with work schedules and company policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to established "Universal Precautions/Bloodborne Pathogen" standards.
  • Follow established procedure methods for handling and mixing chemicals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management and/or supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory duties.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have 3 months of general experience of progressively responsible housekeeping/sanitation or other work that applies particular knowledge and skills to perform the position.
  • Driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance and the ability to travel to local facilities.
  • Knowledge of janitorial methods, practices, materials, tools, occupational hazards and safety precautions of the janitorial work.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Demonstrates good customer relation's skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Must be capable of lifting to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass both required criminal background check and pre- employment drug testing.

  • Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures

Physical Demands
