OverviewLead Subcontracts ManagerLocation: US-DC-WashingtonRequisition ID: 2025-160150Position Category: Project ManagementClearance: Public TrustPeraton is seeking a Lead Subcontracts Manager to join our team on FAA BNATCS programs, focusing on subcontract management compliance and leadership of subcontract staff and vendor teams for mission-critical aviation programs.In this position, you will: Join a team dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of U.S. air travel, and contribute to continuing safe, efficient airspace operations by providing strategic oversight of subcontracting activities.ResponsibilitiesThe Lead Subcontracts Manager will:Lead all aspects of subcontract management from strategy development through closeout.Develop, negotiate, and manage complex subcontract agreements in compliance with FAR, DFARS, DOT, and FAA AMS requirements.Provide oversight and guidance to subcontract administrators and analysts, ensuring alignment with prime contract requirements.Manage supplier performance, conduct risk assessments, and resolve contractual or delivery issues.Collaborate with program managers, contracts, procurement, finance, and legal teams to ensure business and program objectives are met.Prepare and present subcontract status, risk, and performance reports for senior leadership.Drive supplier diversity and cost optimization initiatives to support FAA program goals.Ensure compliance with flow-down clauses, reporting obligations, and audit requirements.Support proposal efforts by developing subcontract strategies, BOEs (Basis of Estimate), and vendor pricing inputs.Why This Role MattersThe FAA is the cornerstone of aviation safety and innovation. The Lead Subcontracts Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring subcontract relationships are structured, negotiated, and managed effectively, contributing to on-schedule and within-budget FAA programs that support safe and efficient aviation infrastructure.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:U.S. Citizenship Required.Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.12 years of experience in a supervisory capacity leading subcontract activities in federal contracting environments.Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and AMS regulations.Proven ability to lead negotiations, subcontract strategy, and supplier performance management.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills, including cost/price analysis.Proficiency with procurement or subcontract management tools (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, SAP, PRISM, or similar).Knowledge of contract types (FFP, T&M, IDIQ, Cost-Reimbursable).Familiarity with small business subcontracting plans and supplier diversity requirements.Preferred Qualifications:Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems.Advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.Professional certifications such as CPCM, CPSM, or DAWIA Level II/III.Direct experience supporting FAA modernization efforts or other large-scale aerospace/aviation programs.Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and subcontract reporting requirements.Proven success managing international subcontracts or suppliers in highly regulated environments.#BNATCPeraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by factors including scope and responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and location.
