The *Intensive Care Unit* at Fair Oaks Hospital is a 12-bed unit with a patient population that includes, but not limited to, end-stage disease processes, sepsis, post-partum emergencies, respiratory failure, post-operative care and others that require more intensive nursing care. This patient population requires care from nurses that have successfully completed the critical care fellowship and/or have experience caring for the critically ill patient population. The ICU is equipped to provide CRRT and induced hypothermia for post-cardiac arrest.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will communicate effectively with patients, families, team members and medical providers. To help achieve our mission, you will create a collaborative team working environment while displaying respect for and an understanding of various clinical disciplines. Using a focused and integrated approach toward improving desired patient outcomes and patient experience of care delivery is of vital importance. Your participation in learning new knowledge, developing new skills and meeting program objectives to be able to practice in assigned patient care delivery settings while utilizing and applying new knowledge is essential. Demonstrating s willingness to learn under the direct supervision of an experienced RN and through various other training formats is required.
Additional Requirements: * minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. BSN or AD Required * Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. * If RN has an associate degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date. * RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN * BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from the American Heart Association * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. * Proficient computer skills required.
