Sr. DevOps Engineer - Upstart You will help architect, build, automate and scale the tools used by product engineers to perform their pre-production development and testing. You will be instrumental in defining and implementing our Kubernetes-based Ephemeral Infrastructure and help us realize our data-driven mission of affordable credit. How youll make an impact Define and build the next generation of Upstarts Ephemeral infrastructure Partner with XCUT teams to ensure all tools integrate seamlessly into Ephemeral Environments Drive major improvements in tooling and infrastructure alongside your teammates Enable product engineers to rapidly spin up fully functional environments for development, preproduction testing, pen-testing, lending partner demos, and other special use cases Evangelize Ephemeral tooling by delivering best-in-class documentation and processes Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a DevOps/SRE role 5+ years of deep, hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating Kubernetes in production Proficiency and experience with Golang Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, EKS) in production environments Expertise in Linux systems: architecture, administration, troubleshooting, and operations Preferred Qualifications Certified Kubernetes Administrator/Architect (CKA/CKAD) or equivalent certification Proven ability to inspire collaboration and stay engaged on a fully remote team Experience designing and building Kubernetes operators Strong CI/CD skills, including building pipelines with automated test coverage Broad DevOps expertise across scripting, IaC, automation, configuration management, and container orchestration Hands-on experience with tools like Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Artifactory, Harness, or similar platforms Position location This role is available in the following locations: Remote - United States Time zone requirements The team operates on the East/West coast time zones.
