Senior Civil Design Engineer Location: Houston, TX Schedule: Full-time | Hybrid Pay Range Base pay: $100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Additional compensation: Annual Bonus Role Overview GTN Technical Staffing & Consulting is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our client’s growing Houston team. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of remote work while overseeing both local and regional projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in roadway and bridge design, provide leadership in project execution, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver complex transportation infrastructure projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the design of roadway and bridge projects, ensuring adherence to client standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Serve as a technical mentor to junior and mid‑level engineers, promoting professional growth and design excellence. Oversee surveying, right‑of‑way acquisition, and utility relocation projects in partnership with licensed surveyors and multidisciplinary teams. Act as primary technical contact for Texas‑based clients, ensuring alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables. Collaborate with teams across offices to coordinate project planning, design reviews, and production standards. Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring quality control and effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) License required; Texas PE preferred. RPLS certification is a plus. Experience: 10–15 years of experience in transportation engineering with emphasis on roadway and bridge design. Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and OpenRoads; familiarity with MicroStation preferred. Skills: Strong project leadership, client communication, and multi‑disciplinary coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects independently. Additional: Experience in hydraulics, stormwater, or utility relocation is advantageous. Occasional travel required for site visits and client coordination.
