The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long-term position in the Louisville, Kentucky area:

ELECTRICAL FOREMAN

Successful candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years of continuous and current experience as an Industrial Electrician in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.

Qualified candidates will possess the ability and knowledge to:
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand and power tools
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components; inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
  • Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
  • Install ground leads and power cables to equipment, such as motors
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
  • Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
Functions:
  • Ensure that Operations, Maintenance, Construction and repair activities are executed according to plan effectively, efficiently and meet customer expectations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
EHS / Compliance:
  • Promote and use safe work practices to provide a safe work environment
  • Provide leadership and support for PPE Compliance.
  • Actively support and coach others to comply with all laws, regulations, principles and policies and discipline employees who fail to meet safety expectations

Culture:
  • Lead and assist in continuously improving the site culture.
  • Lead talent planning and staffing strategy to address attrition.
  • Provide leadership and assist employees in understanding our site vision and key performance drivers.
  • Understanding of the work process and the planning/scheduling process.
Operations Excellence:
  • Provide leadership and drive initiatives that will reduce cost, improve productivity, and drive operations excellence across the organization.
  • Define expectations and success measures to improve reliability.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure we maintain accuracy and accountability for Operations, Maintenance and Construction Material Inventory & Parts Management System.
  • Identify knowledge and skill gaps and define training and other measures needed to close the gap.
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records.
  • Prepare and submit performance reports.
  • Hire and train new employees
  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Receive complaints and resolve problems
  • Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
EXPECTATIONS
EHS / Compliance:
  • Strengthen our site safety culture by personally leading safety meetings, conducting safe person visits, safe work permit audits, leadership audits, and participating in plant safety audits.
  • Know and understand the EHS Compliance goals and transmit these expectations to all direct reports.
  • Continuously improve crew safety awareness and execution through field presence - enforce good safe work habits and work to remove unsafe work habits.
  • Help create safety buy-in and lead by example.
Culture:
  • Advance and strengthen our culture across the Operations, Maintenance and Project organization by leading discussions, build trusting relationships and demonstrating how to apply to our daily work.
  • Provide mentoring and assessment for Maintenance/Project team leader development.
  • At a minimum of once a year, informally and personally review with each employee their performance, strengths and improvement opportunities.
  • Anticipate attrition and ensure selection and assignment of the right person to the right job.
  • Display behavior that is consistent with all Mundy principles.

Operations Excellence:
  • Ensure we manage all daily activities and overhauls in a way that we meet turn-around and start-up commitments.
  • Maintain parts inventory in a way that we demonstrate 100% inventory accuracy.
  • Assure 100% compliance in recording of history for SAP work orders with all direct reports.
  • Participate in daily / weekly scheduling meetings (provide resources, spare parts, etc., needed to support a robust planning & scheduling process)
  • Organize, coordinate and optimize the utilization of maintenance/project resources.
  • Drive cost effective measures for the customer such as O.T, critical thinking, and work execution daily, ect.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
  • Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines of the field
  • Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.

Qualified candidates will be able to pass a criminal background check, substance abuse test, and other specific tests required.
