Job Summary The Principal Researcher role is designed to support a talented behavioral scientist in generating significant research contributions to behavioral science disciplines. The primary duty will be to conduct research independently and in collaboration with Booth Faculty in the Roman Family Center for Decision Research (RF‑CDR), with particular encouragement to advance high‑quality, cutting‑edge experimental research. The researcher will generate original research questions and implement studies in unique experimental settings such as companies, public spaces, and museums. The role also includes teaching two sections of a one‑quarter course per year and participating in the academic life of the school. The position is expected to last one year with the possibility of 1‑2 additional years. Responsibilities Teach two sections of a quarter‑long behavioral science class each academic year. Participate in study design, data acquisition, analysis, manuscript development, and presentation/publication of results. Use subject matter and best practices to perform lab and research‑related duties and tasks, working independently to assist with project design. Guide data collection, evaluation, and analysis; design and manage databases; write reports, articles, and manuscripts. Perform other related work as needed. Education & Qualifications Minimum Qualifications College or university degree in a related field. 5‑7 years of related work experience. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D., earned or expected by start date, in psychology, economics, or another behavioral science discipline. Strong teaching experience. Strong record of research productivity in behavioral science. Ability to interact with faculty, students, and staff successfully. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Working Conditions Position is expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
