Lab Director

Position Summary Lab Director leads all aspects of the clinical and anatomic pathology departments, establishing policies, achieving accreditation, managing budgets, mentoring staff, collaborating with hospital departments, and adopting new technologies to improve services. Responsibilities Direct all aspects of the clinical and anatomic pathology departments and their related services Establish policies, procedures, standards, objectives and staffing in collaboration with the laboratory’s Medical Director Maintain accreditation through compliance with NYSDOH and CAP regulations Prepare the laboratory’s annual budget and oversee expenditures and revenue Mentor and instruct laboratory professionals and evaluate their performance Coordinate with other hospital departments to optimize patient care Adopt new technologies, where technically and financially appropriate, to improve revenue and expand testing capabilities Educational Requirements / Qualifications NY state license Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred At least 5 years progressive leadership experience, preferably in a clinical setting Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent communication skills Exceptional oral and written communication skills Demonstrated critical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and ability to make decisions within organizational structure Seniority Level Director Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Science Industries Staffing and Recruiting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Synectics Inc. by 2x. #J-18808-Ljbffr
