We provide an acute inpatient treatment program for adults who are struggling with behavioral health concerns.Due to expansion, we are looking for an additional full time Psychiatrist to join the team.OverviewResponsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.SummaryResponsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.Maintain confQualificationsDoctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.Licenses/CertificationsBoard certification in psychiatryCurrent DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.Interested candidates please email your CV to Hilary Wade at wadeh@bronsonhg.org or call 269.341.7596Physicians are responsible for diagnosing illnesses and prescribing as well as administering treatment for patients suffering from disease or illness. They also examine patients in addition to obtaining medical histories. Other job responsibilities include ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests in addition to counseling patients regarding preventive healthcare, hygiene and diet. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.Medical degree and 2 years of direct or intern experience requiredCurrent Medical License in the state of MichiganCurrent DEA and DPS Certificate of RegistrationMust maintain all requirements for medical staff privilegesKnowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniquesThorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatmentEffective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquettePerforms in a tactful and professional mannerWork which produces high levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g., interactive and repetitive or small detailed work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time, the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT between 40 and 70 percent of the time.Involves considerable standing or walking, regular lifting of light-weight objects (i.e., 20 pounds or less) and assisting with heavier tasks such as assisting in lifting and moving patients.
