In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.Kitchen CookThe Kitchen Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for site personnel in accordance with food safety regulations and company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of ingredients including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning foodFollow standard recipes and instructions from senior cooks or chefsSet up workstations with the necessary ingredients and equipmentCook basic menu items such as soups, vegetables, sauces, and simple dishesMaintain a clean and orderly workstation, including sanitizing surfaces and proper food storageComply with all food safety and hygiene regulationsAssist with receiving and storing food supplies and rotating stock as neededSupport other kitchen staff during busy periods and perform other duties as assignedQualifications/Skills and ExperienceFood Handling Certificate or any other related food certificateStrong understanding of dietary requirements and allergy managementExcellent time management and teamwork skillsExperience working with industrial kitchen equipmentWorking ConditionsPosition based at the OKO Project site.Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days OffTransport, accommodations, and meals provided on site.Compensation Package1-year contract for the construction period, with the possibility of a permanent position once the mine is in operation.Competitive SalaryCompetitive benefits, bonus and group insurances. #J-18808-Ljbffr
