*About the 2-Surgical Unit:*

Situated on the 2nd floor of Parkview Randallia, our 2-Surgical unit is a 35-bed Medical-Surgical unit that caters to patients with lower to moderate levels of acuity. Our unit specializes in short-term patient care, addressing a wide range of diagnoses, including COPD, pneumonia, nursing home placements, alcohol withdrawal, and drug dependency. Surgeries commonly performed on this unit include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, gynecological procedures, and orthopedic injuries.

*Responsibilities:*

As a Registered Nurse in the 2-Surgical unit, you will independently plan and provide high-quality nursing care in accordance with physician orders, hospital and departmental policies, the American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, the Indiana Nurses Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics.

*Qualifications:*
* *Education:* Diploma in Nursing, ASN, or BSN.
* *Licensure:* Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
* *Certifications:* CPR certification required; additional certifications may be necessary for specific areas.
* *Physical Requirements:* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with up to 100 pounds (heavier lifting may be required in certain departments).
* *Communication:* Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
