The 200,000+ square foot production facility in Pryor, Oklahoma is home to administrative offices and production space, featuring high-speed combination production lines, and over 100,000 square feet of automated warehouse space and freight-handling facilities.

Xcaliber is now hiring a full-time dedicated and efficient Lab Technician to join our team. The Lab Technician will contribute to Product Development by performing laboratory tests and analyses under the direction of a lab supervisor - including sample management, sample investigation, instrument operation/maintenance, data entry and sample storage with a high degree of proficiency. Ensures all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean, sterile, and in proper working order.

The Lab Technician will work with our senior staff and leadership to prepare samples, run tests, and report on data findings. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing ingredients and finished products to ensure correct composition and to report any issues that need to be corrected. He or she will also participate in the R&D aspects of the job, including sample preparation, production startups and manufacturing trials. The ideal candidate will be familiar with lab methodologies and understand the importance of clean and orderly workspace by diligently following all lab procedures for health and safety. The Lab Technician will also be responsible for compiling data, transferring notes and recordings, and labeling, organizing, and maintaining samples. You will be handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting findings to a laboratory senior staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts laboratory analysis for company, to include but not limited to measure and weigh compounds and solutions, isolate, identify and prepare specimens, and collect samples and other research information.
  • Collects various forms of data pertaining to the research project or projects, which could include database information and/or hard files.
  • Keeps detailed logs of all research related projects or activities.
  • Conducts data analyses and discusses with senior staff.
  • Prepares various reports containing content for use in product development
  • Collaborates with other members of the product development team.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Requirements

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 year in laboratory environment
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a biological or physical science
  • 1-3 years in a laboratory setting
  • Familiarity with GC, GC-MS, HPLC, and/or ICP-MS
  • Physical endurance and the ability to stand for long periods of time
Competencies:
  • Must possess strong organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Self-motivated individual willing to work hard, able to work in a group and alone, and be quality conscious.
  • Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively on shared equipment and with shared responsibilities with focus on achieving departmental and company responsibilities and goals.
  • Ability to read and follow written instruction
