Reliability Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies to improve equipment reliability and availability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance plans based on historical data and industry best practices.
  • Analyze equipment performance data using reliability tools like FMEA and Weibull analysis.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability and process optimization.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory to ensure availability while minimizing excess.
  • Support capital projects by reviewing equipment specifications and providing input on reliability and maintainability.
  • Monitor KPIs related to equipment reliability, downtime, and maintenance costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with RCM, RCA, FMEA, and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP or Maximo).
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., OSHA).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in phosphate, ammonium phosphate, or hydrofluoric acid.
  • Experience with static and rotating equipment. I/E experience is a plus.
