Summary Addresses unique customer business challenges by systematically creating transformative learning experiences using ADDIE and Agile instructional design methods. Designs and leads training programs that are effective and innovative, employing learning strategies and delivery methods appropriate to support learning goals. Leads meetings, facilitates design sessions, and presents innovative solutions to customers at all levels in the organization. Works strategically and collaboratively with executive sponsors and subject matter experts to provide blended learning solutions in alignment with Children’s Health’s business strategies. Uses project management skills to coordinate work and execute on larger‑scale projects. This role has some responsibility for coaching teammates, performing quality reviews in a team setting, and fielding some education requests. Responsibilities Uses ADDIE and other agile consulting best practices to deliver blended learning solutions for high profile and complex projects. Leads multiple high profile or complex projects and collaborates with the design team to accomplish project goals and objectives. May, on occasion, facilitate learning events. Works closely with the Manager of Instructional Design and Measurement to qualify new project requests and ensure that instructional quality standards are met. Engages in peer coaching for Learning Institute teammates. Reviews training materials for instructional integrity, grammatical accuracy, and branding standards. Updates and improves own knowledge, skills and attitudes pertaining to instructional design, learning technology and related fields. Monitors organizational changes and system/process updates; revises training programs to incorporate changes. Measures learning, application, and business impact. This is a full‑time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You may be required to float occasionally to other Children’s Health locations including Dallas, Plano and THD Clinics. (Start time hours can be discussed during interviews) Education How You’ll Be Successful: Master's Degree Work Experience At least 5 years related experience in talent development or training (Preferred) At least 5 years instructional design experience (including full project life cycle or assessment, strategy, design, programming, testing, & launch) (Required) License and Certifications CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning & Performance), CPT (Certified Performance Technologist), or other ISPI and ASTD instructional design certification (Preferred) JOB PROFILE Requires depth within a specialized, critical discipline and/or breadth of substantive professional knowledge that crosses disciplines within the professional field Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by functional policies Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view Management Skills Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjust effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
