PrideStaff is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician for a Manufacturing Company in Huntersville, NC. They develop and produce propane-powered engines, engine fuel system components, propane-powered floor-care machinery, and battery-powered floor maintenance machinery. The Mechanical Technician would be responsible for troubleshooting machines, fabricating fixtures and tools, conducting quality inspections, and also assisting with manufacturing.Pay: $23/hr. - $24/hr.Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMThe Mechanical Technician will report directly to the Production Manager.The primary responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:Troubleshoot, repair, and test a variety of combustion engine and battery-powered industrial equipment, including but not limited to:Industrial floor cleaning equipmentIndustrial concrete preparation and grinding equipmentIndustrial lawn-care equipment such as John Deere ride-on lawnmowers and GatorsOther industrial equipment applications commonly used in the construction industryConduct engine testing on Dynamometer, and Calibrate engine configurations, primarily engine fuel systemsRework warehouse products according to engineering documents and proceduresAsses returned equipment and conduct root cause failure analysisAssist with production and assembly duties, including but not limited to:Assemble components and machinesInspect product and document findingsMiscellaneous warehouse dutiesSupport engineering by producing and reviewing technical and operational specificationsReview new product samples and provide feedback and design improvement opportunitiesAn active member in product and process continuous improvement.Qualifications of the Mechanical Technician:Minimum of 4-years hands-on mechanical repair and maintenance experience, preferably involving products with internal combustion engines, including automotiveExperience with 12V and/or 24V DC electric systems, components, and diagnosticsExperience in an assembly and/or production environmentAbility to work fast with minimal supervision and be task-orientedStrong ability to read, interpret and troubleshoot using mechanical and electrical schematics, drawings, and engineering schedules and instructionsComfortable and proficient in the use of a wide range of power toolsStrong fabrication skillsFlexibility and willingness to be assigned a range of tasksGood customer-facing skills and experienceHave a clean and current driving licensePositive attitudeSupervision skills a plusComputer application skills a plusCOMPETITIVE PAY - CAREER PROGRESSION- COMFORTABLE WORK ENVIRONMENTAPPLY TODAY
