Title: Network Administrator Summary: The Network Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing the organization's network infrastructure. This includes configuring network hardware and software, troubleshooting connectivity issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards. Responsibilities Evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment. Defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls. Maintaining network performance by performing monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems. Escalating problems to vendors as needed. Securing network by developing access controls, monitoring, and evaluations; maintaining documentation. Upgrading network by consulting with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. Troubleshooting and supporting network hardware and software. Supporting VPNs, remote access, and cloud-based network services. Collaborating with systems and cybersecurity teams to ensure network integrity. Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Protecting the organization's value by keeping information confidential. Accepting ownership for new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Supporting IT Helpdesk escalated tickets. Providing technical support and training to end-users. Qualifications Extensive LAN/WAN experience and knowledge. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols. Network design and implementation skills. Network performance tuning, problem solving, and strategic planning abilities. Multi-tasking, quality focus, and coordination skills. Technical understanding and quick learning aptitude. Customer service skills and professionalism with personal integrity. Specific Technology Experience Requirements Fortinet firewalls. HP networking hardware and software. Load balancers. VPN experience. Working Conditions Full-time position; may require occasional after-hours maintenance. Corporate office with standard working hours.
