The Director will define and implement end-to-end DevOps strategy and framework using the latest tools, technologies, and processes. Working with an onshore and offshore team of DevOps engineers, the Director will oversee setup, configuration, monitoring, and management of on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including vendor system integrations, network connectivity, and security of data and infrastructure.How you will make an impactDefine and implement strategy/approach for end-to-end management of cloud and on-prem infrastructure of technology platforms and systems supporting large-scale PBM & Pharmacy business/operationsCollaborate with IT and business leaders to determine DevOps best practices and infrastructure requirements of applications/systemsBuild CI/CD automation pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and manage deployments across environmentsImplement 24x7 infrastructure and application performance monitoring (APM) to ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and cost-efficiencyEnsure disaster recovery, business continuity, and audit plans are implemented and regularly updatedIdentify opportunities to optimize infrastructure and increase efficiency without impacting ongoing operationsAct as escalation point for faults, lead investigations into incidents, and complete follow-up tasksHire, train, coach, and evaluate the performance of direct reportsMinimum RequirementsRequires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 7 years of IT management experience; or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background.Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and ExperiencesExperience with infrastructure design and scaling (IaC, HPA), containers in KubernetesObservability & Monitoring (infrastructure and APM)Cloud networking & security integration – AWS and Azure with hybrid on-premisesTactical operations experience – cloud patching, AMI rehydration, cluster upgradesExperience with Azure and AWSKnowledge of platforms: GitHub, Terraform, Datadog, Splunk, Bamboo, Kafka, and BitbucketExperience with databases/data warehouses: PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redshift, SnowflakeKnowledge of Apigee OPDK/Hybrid/X, AkamaiJob DetailsJob Level: DirectorWorkshift: 1st Shift (United States of America)Job Family: IFT > IT Tech StrategyAdditional informationElevance Health only accepts resumes for compensation from agencies with a signed agreement.
