Job Title: Site Engineer

Reports To: Manager, Teste Centre Engineering

Department: Technology & Product

Location: Nottingham, MD (WFM possible, following probationary period)

Salary: Starting at $90,000

Job Summary: The Site Engineer will work individually and in a team to develop and implement solutions for Prometric's Global Test Center Network. The role will require an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Server 2019/2022 and Win 10/11), knowledge of database systems, and experience writing PowerShell scripting. This role works with Product Owners/Developers to assist in architecting solutions, so good communication and interpersonal skills are required. Site Engineers work closely with our Project Managers, software packaging, test center support team, and account managers to develop and support Prometric's global test center network.

Responsibilities & Duties:

* Evaluate and integrate new workstation and server hardware.
* Evaluate and integrate new software or operating systems.
* Create and support automation solutions for large-scale deployments.
* Work with Product Owners/Developers to assist in architecting solutions.
* Work with software packaging to streamline the distribution of new software.
* Continually improve documentation and creation of KB documents.
* Strong communication skills are needed to communicate issues, solutions, and their impact on the business across the organization.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Minimum 3 years' experience in the Information Systems field.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a high aptitude for complex systems.
* In-depth knowledge of Windows Operating System and Windows productivity/management tools.
* Strong and proven ability to work in the Windows desktop environment and deliver enterprise solutions.
* Knowledge of automation scripting - PowerShell or similar language.
* Hands-on experience with Windows Server Roles: Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, etc.
* Experience with Virtualization Technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
* Understanding of 3 Tier architecture (web servers, app servers, databases).
* Knowledge of Database Systems (Microsoft SQL).
* Experience working with physical server hardware.
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Sound decision-making with the ability to work under minimum supervision.
* Self-motivated and strong ability to take on new challenges.
* Ability to work individually and as a member of a project team.
* Ability to work to tight schedules and deadlines.
