OverviewPrincipal Delivery Consultant - Advisory, Advisory at Amazon Web Services (AWS). The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a Principal Advisory Consultant to shape and transform how enterprises leverage cloud technology. This strategic role will influence leaders across industries, market segments, and technical domains to drive transformative business outcomes. As a Principal-level advisor, you will identify patterns across customers, develop new architectural patterns, and create innovative capabilities that define the future of cloud adoption.Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, the Delivery Consultant will architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet customer needs. You will gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, propose migration strategies to AWS, and lead the implementation process while ensuring best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide guidance through our global specialty practices across various solutions, technologies, and industries.Key responsibilitiesDrive significantly complex technical initiatives and strategic business transformations across industries and market segmentsLead the creation and delivery of novel technical services, capabilities, or industry-level solutions used globallyIdentify patterns across customers and develop new architectural patterns and design principles that become industry standardsCultivate strategic relationships with senior leaders and serve as a trusted advisor on transformative initiativesShape the evolution of platform service features and create new offerings that maximize emerging technology impactDrive strategic sales opportunities from inception to closure at the executive levelCreate scalable mechanisms and lead new initiatives that transform how customers adopt cloud technologiesProvide widely recognized technical thought leadership through industry presentations and executive engagementsMentor and develop leaders while growing a culture of collaboration, empathy, and inclusionBalance risk and quality while creating mechanisms to address recurring escalation patternsDay in the lifeAdvisory Team partners with customers to increase shareholder value and assist in disrupting their business models. We enable customers to drive competitive advantage by enhancing their digital capabilities to innovate on new products and services. Focus areas include Cloud Operations (Operating Model, Organization Change Management, FinOps, Cloud Governance and Product Op Model), Delivery Excellence around Enterprise Transformation, Delivery program management, Cloud Business Strategy and Value Realization, Data & AI, and Cloud Migration Planning and Portfolio Analysis.QualificationsBasic Qualifications8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred5+ years experience in enterprise cloud transformation initiatives involving C-suite executives with at least 1 project in Financial Services, IT, Telecommunications, Media, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Retail5+ years experience implementing technology solutions delivering minimum 15% cost reduction or $1M+ annual revenue growth per project across 3+ enterprise initiatives5+ years experience working cross-functionally with teams of 10+ members each, managing complex programs spanning at least 2 distinct organizations per programPreferred QualificationsAWS experience preferred, with proficiency across AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)AWS Professional level certifications preferredExperience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python)Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiencesDeep expertise in emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, and their enterprise applicationsExperience in domains such as Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Strategy, Business Transformation and Innovation, Data & AI Strategy and Governance, Cloud Economics and Business Value Creation, and Industry-specific Digital TransformationCompany and equal opportunityAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
