  • Our guiding mission is to help kids and their families' transition from hospital to home. That means we practice world-class pediatric medicine to treat the symptoms but we also train parents and caregivers to provide a high-level of care at home so patients continue to progress after discharge
JOB SUMMARY: Maintains high quality cleaning standards and cleaning supply inventory, performs grounds maintenance duties, and timely repair and maintenance of facility equipment.

Blood Borne Pathogen Exposure: Yes

Schedule: Evening Shift 3:00 pm-11:30 pm with alternating weekends

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains daily cleaning schedule using standard procedures. (Including but not limited to: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, floor care, general cleaning of patient rooms, bathrooms and facility.)
  • Maintains preventive maintenance and cleaning schedule of facility, furniture, fixtures, equipment and vehicles. Makes minor repairs to equipment, tables, chairs, etc. All repairs must be approved by manager prior to work being performed.
  • Maintains proper appearance of grounds, and keeps walkways and parking areas free of debris, snow and ice.
  • Reports the need for repairs or replacement of equipment, furniture and fixtures.
  • Assists with patient evacuation in case of fire or other emergency and during fire drills.
  • Assists with shipping and receiving.
  • Responsible for adhering to all safety practices and procedures.
  • Knows the mission and values of Ranken Jordan and in accordance, maintains appropriate professional behavior at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director and/or Manager of Facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Maintenance/Housekeeping personal must demonstrate the correct use of cleaning chemicals, supplies and equipment.
  • Must be able to read, speak, write, make calculations, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must have the ability to use tools and equipment associated with general maintenance and housekeeping.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

These include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, pulling, pushing, climbing ladders, standing, carrying, and lifting of heavy loads (up to 50 lb.).
