Shift Supervisor

BTI Security is currently seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee security operations during assigned shifts. The successful candidate will demonstrate unquestionable integrity, a mature attitude, and good judgment. Responsibilities Respond to the direction of the COR involving performance or delivery requirements in the absence of the Project or Alternate Project Manager. Ensure that all security posts are supervised and manned in accordance with the Security Post Schedule, location, and manning document, under the direction of the Project or Alternate Project Manager. Verify that the Security Operations Center (SOC) has received all incident reports for the shift and forward any incidents that may impact the safety of staff, patrons, visitors or property to the Project Manager. Keep the Project Manager apprised of security or EMT responses, performance issues, and training needs. Supervise the SPOs (Armed, Unarmed, and EMT) assigned to the shift. Qualifications Citizenship: United States of America. At least 3 years in law enforcement or security, or a combination of both, and at least 1 year of armed security experience. High school diploma or equivalency; an AA/AS degree is preferable. Current SPO license issued by the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department Security Officers Management Branch. Strong knowledge of the security industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Customer service‑driven mindset. Articulate and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Appropriate uniform attire, groomed, and equipped. Physical Demands Physically able to perform assigned duties, including frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting and stooping for up to 12 hours per day, indoors or outdoors. Remain alert for up to 12 hours, with the ability to react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations.
