Sr. Commercial Finance Analyst Department: Accounting & Finance Employment Type: Full Time Location: Oak Brook, IL Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000 / year Description ASC is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sr. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst - Commercial with 4-7 years of experience to join our growing finance team. The Senior FP&A Analyst will play a key role in providing financial insights and projections to support decision‑making processes across the organization. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. To be successful as a Senior Commercial Financial Analyst, you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities including reporting, analysis, budgeting and forecasting. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner. How You Will Help Provide FP&A support for business performance management, planning & forecasting activities and executive‑level presentations Understand key business drivers, track KPIs and maintain scorecards; prepare accurate and timely analytics and business commentary Develop and maintain critical FP&A schedules to be used across the business to review and analyze results Identify, research and comment on variances to forecast, budget and prior‑year results; ensure key issues, risks and business drivers are understood and explained Leverage data and analytics to build reporting that communicates key metrics and insights to executive leadership Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement; apply best practice, propose and create solutions for process standardization and automation to scale the business Build a strong cross‑functional partnership with key stakeholders and drive collaboration and knowledge sharing Assisting regular budgeting and forecasting as well as potentially long‑range planning Perform research and ad ho­c analysis as required and dive deep into special projects, such as product profitability, commodity and economic analyses, commercial growth opportunities, cost savings, and other corporate and profitability initiatives Help drive a process honoring and deadline driven culture within the organization Other duties as assigned What You Will Bring Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA a plus 4 - 7 years of finance, accounting, or business experience Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast‑paced environment Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture Self‑starter; proactive, positive and can‑do attitude Work well in a team environment Strong understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills; data savvy Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Power Point Experience with Business Intelligence tools a plus, such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or similar BI tools Hyperion/Oracle EPM knowledge preferred Experience in manufacturing a plus Compensation The base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 USD annually*. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this role.
