HORIBA Instruments Incorporated, a leading manufacturer of scientific instruments, has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Engineer in our Piscataway, New Jersey location. The ideal candidate will be able to lead daily corrective action and quality control activities that keep manufacturing moving and improve the overall quality of our products and processes.* This is a non-IT role.Responsibilities include:Outgoing Quality Control for all gratings, including visual inspection and performance testing using fixturesIncoming inspection of grating blanks, mounts, and other grating parts per applicable sampling standardIn-process quality control at appropriate points during manufacturing and sub-assemblyStandardize inspection protocol for all gratings manufactured in the OSIS divisionImplement Identification and Traceability throughout the grating manufacturing processParticipate in the Material Review Board for disposition of nonconforming grating partsDrive corrective action for process improvement by partnering with the Manufacturing Supervisor & Manufacturing EngineerMaintain all records in the gratings division as required by ISO 9001:2015 standardConduct regular internal audits in the gratings division to catch and prevent potential issues from escalatingMaintain calibration records on all fixtures, tools, and equipment used for the manufacturing of gratingsCalculate and report key performance metrics for gratingsRequirements include:Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in a related engineering discipline or sufficient experience in a technical roleProficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointVery strong attention to small details and fine printMust have the ability to focus during repetitive QC tasksShould possess excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with different roles within the companyMust have the ability to multitask with excellent follow-through skills3 years of experience working in a quality or equivalent role within a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015 conceptsMust be able to work independently without constant supervision and produce on-time deliverablesA sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s successDesired Skills:Some knowledge of managing databases is a plusKnowledge of Statistics and Statistical Process Control preferredHORIBA offers a full benefit package, which includes: #J-18808-Ljbffr
