B2B: max 1350 net/MD + VAT (based on experience) or UOP max 20 000 gross/month Workplace: remotely About the project: We are seeking a highly skilled and hands‑on Senior Software Architect / Tech Lead with a strong background in Java and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will drive modernization initiatives for complex legacy applications, bringing innovative architectural solutions and technical leadership. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping the system’s future by defining modernization strategies, mentoring engineers, and collaborating across teams in the biotech and medical software domain. Responsibilities: Lead the design and execution of modernization and refactoring initiatives for legacy systems. Define the long‑term technical roadmap for scalability, modularization, and performance. Migrate legacy technologies (JSP, Swing, GWT, Stripes) to modern architectures. Evaluate, propose, and implement new frameworks and tools that align with business goals. Provide hands‑on technical leadership, ensuring code quality and best practices. Mentor and support engineers through the modernization process. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and regulatory needs into technical solutions. Work closely with database and DevOps experts on Oracle optimization and migration strategies. Requirements: 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Java (Java 11+), Spring Boot, and enterprise systems. Proven track record in modernization projects (monolith refactoring, modularization, cloud migration). Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability. Solid database knowledge (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, etc.). Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coordinate teams. Experience in biotech or medical software is a plus, but not required. It’s not about you?
