Position Description:

We are seeking a specialized Process Engineer – Naphtha Reforming to join our Downstream Process Engineering Division under our Process & Control Systems Department.

Our Downstream Process Engineering Division is responsible for providing technical expertise in naphtha reforming technologies, including catalytic reforming, semi-regenerative reforming, and continuous catalyst regeneration (CCR), to support the development and optimization of reforming processes.

As a Reform Engineer you will be evaluating, enhancing, and troubleshooting reforming operations, process simulation software packages, such as HYSYS. You will effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, in addition to identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.



Key Responsibilities:

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

Develop, review, and implement process designs and operating parameters for naphtha reforming units. Evaluate and optimize reforming catalysts and technologies to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality. Provide technical support and guidance to operating facilities, including troubleshooting and resolving operational issues. Collaborate with technology licensors and vendors to evaluate and implement new technologies and innovations. Conduct process simulation studies to optimize reforming operations and identify opportunities for improvement. Author and present technical papers and reports on reforming technologies and best practices. Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge in reforming technologies.

Minimum Requirements:

As a successful candidate you will hold a:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree is preferred but not required. Minimum of 20 years of experience in refinery or petrochemical operations and engineering, with a focus on naphtha reforming technologies with at least 5 years in CCR technologies and CCR operation. Experience with multiple operating facilities and process licensor technologies (UOP or Axens) Expertise in innovation and intellectual property development, holding patents in the field of naphtha reforming technologies. Proficiency in process simulation software packages, such as HYSYS. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues
