Join to apply for the Mens/Boys Competitive Team Head Coach role at Seattle Gymnastics Academy. At Seattle Gymnastics Academy, we operate programs under three categories: Play, Learn, and Compete. The Compete program is designed for gymnasts who have progressed through our Learn (recreational) program, have shown interest and aptitude for a competitive experience, and have a coach referral. We currently have a rare, exciting opportunity in our USAG Men’s Artistic Competitive Program, for an experienced coach to lead our Boys Team at SGA Ballard. The current Head Coach will work closely with the new coach to train athletes and ensure a smooth transition for the team. SGA is committed to a safe environment that uses positive reinforcement and teaches skills progressively. A successful Head Coach will uphold these standards for our competitive team. Energetic work environment with opportunities for career growth. Responsibilities Demonstrate a commitment to a safe, positive environment where athletes can compete, develop, and flourish. Create lesson plans and track skill development. Follow SGA Mission, Vision, and Values. Communicate with front desk and marketing regarding programming. Manage meeting scheduling, attendance, and provide photos and a short written recap post-meet for marketing. Continuously assess program success. Promote the program internally and externally. Support SGA Invitational Meet. Collaborate with other site Program Directors on gym programming and curriculum development. Participate in National Gymnastics Day and support at least one other event annually. Communicate with parents about their child’s progression in classes. Participate in paid training opportunities, including SGA University courses, USA Gymnastics clinics, and in-house trainer sessions. Assist in light cleaning and sanitation duties. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years of gymnastics coaching experience. USAG certifications for Men’s Junior Development Program preferred. Willingness to coach a minimum of 20 hours per week. Ability to build meaningful relationships with athletes and adults. Enthusiastic about working with youth; prior experience preferred. Experience in fast-paced, active environments. Conflict resolution skills. Desire to promote a positive learning environment for every child. Desire to grow and lead within SGA. Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
