Neurology Stroke and Vascular Faculty (Open Rank) Department: Neurology-Stroke Location: North Carolina, US Position Type: Full-Time Permanent Faculty (Fixed Term) Hours: 40 per week Posting Open Date: 08/23/2023 Open Until Filled: Yes Position Summary The Department of Neurology at the University of North Carolina seeks a full-time faculty position in Stroke and Vascular Neurology. The preferred candidate will be BC/BE in both Neurology and Vascular Neurology with interest in an academic medicine career. The faculty will oversee acute stroke care, inpatient stroke service, resident-staffed acute stroke teams, and supervise interventional stroke treatments. Opportunities to oversee general neurology inpatient team are also available. Responsibilities Acute stroke care and inpatient stroke service oversight. Resident-staffed acute stroke teams and interventional stroke treatment supervision. Call duties include vascular neurology triage services and interventional stroke treatment support. Academic time for clinical activities, program building, research, and teaching interests. Minimum Education And Experience Requirements MD, DO, or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience Strong clinical and research skills working with diverse patient populations.
